It is very hard to imagine that in the ninety days since Governor Cuomo signed the legislation creating the Peconic Bay Region as a NYS Heritage Area that we are faced with the possible demolition of this culturally significant site. Helen Harrison, who serves on the town’s property management committee and abstained from signing the letter of recommendation to demolish the buildings, said it best when she was quoted, “I’m deeply grateful the town never got a hold of the Pollock-Krasner House.”
